Quebec has more microbreweries per capita than almost anywhere else in North America, and each one has its own personality: a riverside taproom, a neighbourhood brewery with street food, a farm brewery growing its own hops. This guide brings together 86 microbreweries across the province, each with the venue’s listing, address, opening hours and what you’ll find there, taproom, shop, patio, food.
Tips: many microbreweries close early on weekdays and fill up on Saturday nights; book ahead for groups. Most offer tasting flights of four to six beers to get a sense of the range before choosing. And if you’re driving, most have non-alcoholic beers or house-made kombucha.
