Quebec vineyards: the wine route to do at least once in your life

From the Montérégie to the Eastern Townships, the Lower Laurentians and Île d’Orléans, Quebec’s vineyards welcome visitors: tastings at the counter, picnics between the rows, harvest in September and, increasingly, on-site dining. This guide brings together 107 vineyards along the province’s wine routes, each with the estate’s listing, opening hours and services.

Tips: high season runs from late August to mid-October, when the vines are heavy and the colours are out; book guided tours and meals ahead. Several estates open in winter for ice wine. Plan a designated driver or a shuttle package, several wine routes offer them.

The wines are enjoyed in the summer, in a friendly atmosphere. Additionally, in collaboration with their neighbor Comptoir Moutarde, four 5 à 7 events are organized, sometimes ending late. These magical moments bring the community together to celebrate the beautiful season. Our wines can also be found on the menus of restaurateurs and in gourmet grocery stores… A favorite is Tørst, a light red, a blend of Chancellor and Frontenac Noir vinified like a rosé that reflects the Nordic essence of Quebec.
