Bike paths on former rail lines, the Route verte crossing the province, linear parks along rivers, mountain bike centres and electric bike rentals: Quebec is pedalled from May to October. This guide gathers Quebec’s cycling venues, trails, parks, centres and rental shops, with each one’s listing, distances and services.
Choosing your route
Former rail corridors (linear parks) are flat, paved or stone dust, and perfect for a first twenty- to thirty-kilometre ride. Regional circuits offer villages, rest stops and viewpoints every ten kilometres. Check the listing for surface, elevation and nearby rentals.
Renting
Rental shops near the paths offer hybrid and electric bikes, trailers and child seats; book for July weekends. An electric bike doubles the reachable distance without changing the effort, and turns hilly routes into a stroll.
