Monkey bridges, nets, beams, vines and ziplines that end the loop above a river: treetop courses have sprung up in every region of Quebec, from mid-May to Thanksgiving. This guide gathers Quebec’s aerial courses, treetop adventure parks and ziplines, with each one’s listing, courses by level, minimum ages and prices.
Our favourites
Arbraska Rigaud, Montérégie. Billed as the largest adventure park in Québec: courses at several levels, an extreme course, a night course and mega ziplines.
Arbraska Chauveau, Québec City. Treetop obstacle courses in an urban forest and mega ziplines over the rivière Saint-Charles, without leaving the city.
Tyroparc, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Laurentians. Zip down the mountain on a mega zipline, climb the via ferrata, then test your balance in the Cité des Bois treetop course.
Mont SUTTON zip lines, Sutton, Eastern Townships. A one-kilometre giant zipline, billed as the steepest in Canada, and a zipline with turns that weaves through the forest.
La Forêt de Maître Corbeau, Saint-Gabriel-de-Rimouski, Bas-Saint-Laurent. 94 challenges of increasing difficulty on more than 2,000 m of aerial trails and a trail of six ziplines, supervised by guides.
Choosing your course
Each park offers several colour-coded courses, from beginner to extreme; a ticket usually gives access to everything for three or four hours. The big ziplines (several hundred metres, sometimes more than a kilometre) are often sold separately. Check the listing for minimum height, maximum weight and the continuous safety system, which prevents any unclipping.
Before you go
Book online for summer weekends, wear closed shoes and fitted clothes, tie hair back and leave jewellery in the car. A three-hour course calls for water and a snack; parks rarely have a restaurant.
