Spring break is almost here!
It’s the perfect time to slow down, unplug from the routine and spend quality time as a family. Quebec’s school break offers countless possibilities, but with so many options it isn’t always easy to know where to start. Here are a few tips to make this break truly memorable.
Plan together
Get your children involved in organizing the week. Ask them what they would enjoy: a special outing, a sports activity, a cozy day at home. Including them boosts their enthusiasm and helps you choose activities everyone will love.
Mix things up
Alternate indoor and outdoor activities, active moments and quieter times. A morning outdoors followed by an afternoon of board games strikes a nice balance and keeps everyone from getting worn out.
Get outside
Spring break is the ideal time to play outdoors. Skating, sliding, skiing, snowshoeing or a walk in the woods: Quebec winters are full of free or affordable activities for the whole family.
Look for special events
Many museums, attractions, outdoor centres and cultural venues put on special programming for spring break. It’s the perfect chance to see a show, visit an exhibition or take part in activities designed for families.
Get creative
You don’t need to go out every day to have fun. A craft workshop, cooking together, a card-game tournament or a home movie night can become precious moments.
Leave time to slow down
The break doesn’t have to be packed. Make room for quiet mornings, chats over hot chocolate and spontaneous fits of laughter.
