The 16.9 km loop on Lac Joseph, between Inverness and Saint-Pierre-Baptiste, offers a peaceful getaway on calm waters, ideal for beginner paddlers. Nestled in the heart of varied wetlands, it offers the chance to observe a wealth of wildlife, including a variety of fish, such as muskellunge, pike and walleye, among others.The site is also home to many bird species. It’s sometimes possible to spot a family of bald eagles.Other species of interest include the great blue heron and the kingfisher, and it’s not uncommon to hear the loon singing.
