Noël choral à la Basilique

All of Bach’s genius is found in this monumental work, composed of six cantatas telling the story of the Nativity. Its powerful melodies are like majestic columns; its vocal lines, finely chiseled ornaments; its clarity, the light that makes the colors of the stained glass shine… This true sound cathedral takes on its full meaning when performed in a setting as sumptuous as the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal and conducted by a sensitive architect like Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
