This section of the Chambly Canal allows recreational boating with the purchase of a seasonal navigation permit, available at Lock Stations No. 1 and No. 9.The route covers 8 km out and back, making it a pleasant and accessible paddling excursion.The waterway is relatively sheltered from the wind, and motorized vessels are subject to a 10 km/h speed limit, helping to maintain a calm and enjoyable environment for paddlers.Please note that entering the narrow sections of the canal is prohibited without a lockage permit, in addition to the required navigation permit.
