This section of the Châteauguay River between Sainte-Martine and Mercier offers a 13 km one-way route featuring stretches of moving water. Approximately 4.5 hours of paddling will provide an enjoyable and rewarding experience in a dynamic river environment. Ideal for beginner paddlers looking to discover moving-water paddling, this route offers a gentle introduction to a more adventurous side of the river. This project was made possible through the Saint Lawrence Action Fund (FASL) and its Maritime Tributaries Program, coordinated by the Quebec Watershed Organizations Network (ROBVQ), with financial support from the Government of Quebec as part of Avantage Saint-Laurent, Quebec’s maritime vision.
