La route bleue – Rivière Bécancour – Wlebata – l’Île de Montesson

This looped route descends to the St. Lawrence River, skirting a territory dear to the hearts of the W8banakiak people, who practise hunting, fishing and other traditional activities while respecting their ancestral rights. Their relationship with the land is one of harmony, respect and sustainability. The route also crosses nesting sites of the endangered bank swallow. To protect them, keep a minimum distance of 50 m from embankments, sail slowly, reduce noise and avoid nesting areas. A sensitive experience, rich in culture and biodiversity.
