The Vallons de la Yamaska Circuit follows the Yamaska River and crosses the agricultural landscapes that define the Maskoutains region. In its northern section, the route features a series of gentle rolling hills, offering bucolic views of farmland and quiet country roads. The circuit highlights a territory shaped by the Yamaska River, agriculture and rural villages, characteristic of the Montérégie.
Along the way, several stops showcase local products and know-how, including Ferme Gadbois in Saint-Barnabé-Sud, known for its seasonal strawberries and popular frozen slush drink.
In Saint-Hyacinthe, the 1555 Public Market, housed in a heritage building dating back to 1830, is a key stop to discover local cheeses, bakeries and regional products. The nearby downtown area also features cafés, shops and restaurants.
The circuit also passes near the Daniel A. Séguin Garden, a 4.5-hectare floral park featuring themed gardens, as well as Chouette à voir! in Saint-Jude, a rehabilitation and education centre dedicated to Québec’s birds of prey.
