L’Église Sainte-Rose-de-Lima

A jewel of Laval’s heritage, the Sainte-Rose-de-Lima church was built between 1852 and 1856 according to the plans of the famous Montreal architect Victor Bourgeau. In 1974, Quebec’s Department of Cultural Affairs designated the church as cultural property thanks for the beauty of its structure, the richness of its furniture, its high altar and the two wooden statuettes created by Philippe Liébert. A visit of Old-Sainte-Rose would not be complete without seeing this work of art that is an integral part of this heritage neighbourhood.
