The exhibition “On the Menu: Montreal – A History of Restaurants” invites you to explore the evolution of Montreal’s dining scene in all its forms since the 1960s. From delis to fine dining, it reveals how a part of the city’s identity has been shaped around the table. Beyond the plates, restaurants are places of gathering and discovery, symbols of identity and culture, witnesses to social and economic changes, as well as places where countless memories are made. Whether they are Michelin-starred or modest, ephemeral or institutional, local or from afar, they embody an essential part of the soul of the metropolis.
