The funicular runs between upper and lower Québec City and can be accessed through the Maison Louis-Jolliet, located in the Petit-Champlain district, and from Terrasse Dufferin, just behind Château Frontenac. Service begins early in the morning and ends just before midnight. It is the only one of its kind in North America.
