Centrale de la Rivière-des-Prairies (Hydro-Québec)

The Rivière-des-Prairies Generation Station was commissioned in 1929 and is one of the oldest still in operation in Quebec. Situated between Laval and Montreal, on Des Prairies River, the station offers free educational and interactive visits that combine science with outdoor. Discover in company of a tour guide the bright Art Deco interior of the station, penetrate in the turbine shaft and walk on the 220-metre spillway while tracing the history of the construction and distribution of the electrical network in the Montreal region.
