A celebration of Irish-Montreal heritage, culture, and literature. The festival not only fosters local pride and community spirit, but, as 40% of Quebecers have Irish ancestry, it raises awareness of the diversity of cultures and identities within the community. The focus is on exploring our heritage. The program includes a variety of artists, music, guided tours of Montreal, films, documentaries, lectures, and readings of Irish literary works, particularly James Joyce’s Ulysses. As part of a larger international celebration, our Bloomsday remains a uniquely Montreal event.
