The concert “Viva Vivaldi: Four Seasons and Gloria” celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal (PCMR) with two masterpieces by Antonio Vivaldi. Under the direction of Andrei Feher from the Orchestre classique de Montréal (OCM), it begins with the famous “Four Seasons, Op. 8,” a luminous and vibrant work featuring solo violinist Marc Djokic. The four concertos, “La primavera,” “L’estate,” “L’autunno,” and “L’inverno,” will explore the changes of the seasons with an intensity that perfectly captures the spirit of nature. After the intermission, Vivaldi’s majestic “Gloria,” an enchanting sacred work, will be presented with the Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal, conducted by Andrew Gray.
