It is in the concert “Grieg, Nordic Sun” that the remarkable pianist Michelle Cann captures the audience’s attention with Grieg’s “Piano Concerto.” Conductor Lina González-Granados sets the stage with the famous “Peer Gynt Suite” by the same composer and the “Overture in D Minor” by Croatian Dora Pejačević. In his “Symphony No. 2,” Danish composer Carl Nielsen draws inspiration from a psychological theory suggesting that personalities can be divided into four temperaments.
