The rising star of the Moncton scene, Céleste Godin, tackles humanity’s place in an infinite cosmos in “Bouée.” Supported by a collaborative team forged over the years, the play intertwines body, voice, images, and materials in a distinctly sensory theater experience. Together, they explore the absurd and the sublime, where everyday anxieties intersect with interstellar ambitions. Amid retro 8-bit textures, ballads by Patsy Cline, and mesmerizing visual tableaux, a constellation of characters seeks an echo, an answer, a meaning. Like a final call: “Hello, universe? It’s me!”
